Job summary

Enterprise Electrical is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations across field and office staff in Houston. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and integrity of payroll while managing complex multi-project payroll.

Reporting to the CFO, you will supervise payroll professionals, stay current on wage and hour laws, prepare certified payroll, and optimize processes with a focus on data integrity and internal controls in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of progressively responsible payroll experience.
• 2–3 years of payroll supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience with payroll tax reporting, reconciliations, audits, and internal controls.
• Construction or electrical contracting experience preferred.
• Multi-state payroll experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all regular and off-cycle payroll processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Validate time records, approvals, pay rates, project assignments, and deductions.
• Oversee payroll across multiple projects, locations, and jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour requirements.
• Monitor and implement changes in payroll laws and project requirements.
• Oversee certified payroll reporting, fringe benefits, per diem, and travel allowances.
• Lead payroll system administration and integrations with HRIS and accounting.
• Provide leadership and training to payroll staff and managers.
