Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in El Paso, Texas, seeks a Construction Materials Testing Senior Laboratory Technician I to join our concrete and soils laboratories. You will perform a variety of tests, interpret data, and assist with QA/QC and audits under supervision.

The role emphasizes accuracy, equipment maintenance, and ASTM-standard testing, with potential fieldwork and ongoing professional growth through internal and external training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in basic math and data recording.
• Experience with laboratory software systems (e.g., Breakpro or Keylab) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory testing on construction material samples.
• Applies standard and advanced testing procedures per ASTM/established methods.
• Interprets test data and prepares summaries or reports under supervision of Laboratory Manager.
• Performs calculations and data reduction for test results.
• Trains and mentors junior laboratory staff.
• Maintains clean, compliant lab and participates in audits.
