Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a certified Construction Materials Testing Senior Laboratory Technician I to join our Cleveland team. You will perform a range of laboratory tests on concrete and soils, interpret results, and prepare reports under the Laboratory Manager’s guidance.

As you grow, ECS provides opportunities for advancement and supports training through ASTM and other organizations. You will help maintain QA/QC, assist audits, and mentor junior staff while supporting occasional fieldwork as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic certifications and one additional certification as per ECS Technician Policy.
• Certifications for both soils and concrete labs if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory testing on construction material samples.
• Applies standard and advanced testing procedures per ASTM or established methods.
• Interprets test data and prepares summaries under supervision.
• Performs calculations and data reduction for results.
• Supports advanced testing with guidance from senior staff.
• Maintains a clean, QA/QC compliant lab and equipment records.
• Trains and mentors junior laboratory staff.
• Occasional fieldwork as needed.
