ECS Limited in Austin, TX seeks a certified Construction Materials Testing Senior Laboratory Technician to join our soils and concrete labs. You will perform complex testing, assist in training staff, and support QA/QC initiatives while maintaining certifications for concrete or soils as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction materials testing.
• Must maintain laboratory certifications for concrete, soils, or both.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Willing to pursue NICET, WACEL or similar certifications.
• Strong data interpretation and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex laboratory testing on construction materials under supervision.
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment; ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Conduct soils tests: Atterberg limits, gradation, moisture, UCS, proctor.
• Conduct concrete tests: labeling samples, curing, monitor temperature.
• Collect data, prepare reports and summaries; perform admin tasks.
