Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of construction projects in Randburg, Gauteng. You will lead planning, budgeting, and execution to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.

The role requires 7–10 years of experience, strong leadership and client-relations skills, and proficiency with MS Project or Primavera P6. Safety, compliance, and effective communication are essential in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of progressive experience in construction project management.
• Proven track record delivering commercial or residential construction from inception to closeout.
• Strong understanding of methodologies, contract management, and financial oversight.
• Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
• Manage project teams, including site staff, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and monitor milestones.
• Control project costs, manage budgets, and approve expenditures.
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety.
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Facilitate effective communication among all project participants.
