Job summary

RailWorks Corporation seeks a Construction Manager to oversee the operational and financial performance of projects, coordinating all phases from bidding to close-out. You will lead project teams to achieve operational excellence, quality, and budget targets while providing operational and financial project support.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive construction experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities on-site, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering or related field (or trade certificate).
• Minimum 10 years of progressive supervisory experience in the related field, with 5 years as a construction manager.
• Read and interpret design drawings and specifications.
• Experience in heavy civil construction design-build environments with a contracting organization is an asset.
• On-site construction experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of construction laws, scheduling, and methods.
• Ability to train, manage and lead junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to ensure projects meet design, budget, and schedule.
• Develop construction plans, schedules, and resource plans.
• Review sites, materials, and subcontractor requirements.
• Ensure safety compliance and documentation control.
• Oversee field operations and subcontractor progress.
