Job summary

RailWorks in Fort Worth is seeking a Construction Manager to lead project execution, ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance. You will oversee bidding, development, planning, execution and close-out phases, guiding teams to operational excellence and efficient resource use.

Reporting to the Project Director, you will coordinate site activities, review requirements, manage subcontractors, and monitor progress while maintaining compliance with health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive supervisory experience with 5 years as construction manager.
• Experience in heavy civil design-build with a contractor is an asset.
• On-site experience required; ability to read designs and specs.
• Proficiency in MS Office and related project tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of construction to meet design, budget, and schedule.
• Develop construction plans, schedules, and resource plans for projects.
• Verify documentation is up to date and ensure work proceeds as planned.
• Identify conflicts, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate site requirements and resources for multi-month outlooks.
