Job summary

WSP in Norwalk, CT is seeking a Construction Manager to support CTDOT and the Walk Bridge Replacement Program, providing technical, cost, schedule, and risk-informed guidance between design and field construction.

The CM will attend progress and QA/QC meetings, manage DICO logs, assist with third‑party coordination, and ensure constructability and sequencing considerations are incorporated into decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering from an accredited program.
• P.E. license in CT or ability to obtain promptly.
• 10+ years of experience on large transportation or rail construction projects.
• Experience as owner’s representative, PMCM, or CM on major programs.
• Strong understanding of sequencing, design-build/CMGC, and change management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Attend and contribute to regular construction and coordination meetings.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts and emerging construction issues.
• Coordinate design support during construction and manage DICO-related issues.
• Track costs, schedules, and program controls; review changes and invoices.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and support value engineering.
• Support QA/QC activities and safety-critical systems coordination.
• Prepare technical memos, reports, and governance documentation.
