Job summary

WSP USA in Norwalk, CT is seeking a Construction Manager to support CTDOT during the Walk Bridge Replacement program with in‑person work at the Norwalk office. The CM provides technical coordination across design, construction, and program controls, attends progress and QA/QC meetings, and supports CE&I in resolving field issues and identifying risks before they escalate.

Qualifications include a CT P.E. license, a bachelor’s degree in civil/structural/construction engineering, and 10+ years on

Qualifications

  • CT Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering.
  • 10+ years of post‑education experience on large transportation or rail projects.
  • Experience as owner’s representative, PMCM, or CM on major construction programs.
  • Strong understanding of sequencing, means/methods, CMGC delivery, and change management.

Responsibilities

  • Attend and contribute to regular construction meetings (progress, technical coordination, risk reviews).
  • Identify and resolve field conflicts and emerging construction issues with CTDOT and CE&I.
  • Coordinate design support during construction and manage DICO logs and related issues.
  • Support cost, schedule, and program controls with CTDOT and CE&I stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify risks related to design interfaces, phasing, and third‑party impacts.
  • Prepare technical memoranda, briefing materials, and program reports.
