Job summary

Accenture Construct in California seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to own municipal public works and infrastructure programs from strategy through handover. You will lead project teams, coordinate with CM IIIs, inspectors, and client staff, and manage scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety onsite.

You’ll maintain the agency relationships, drive progress meetings, resolve disputes, review deliverables, and ensure compliance with public agency standards while traveling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field, plus CA PE license and/or CCM.
• Minimum 15 years of construction management on municipal/public infrastructure projects, with Resident Engineer or Lead CM role in Orange County.
• Experience supervising project teams, multiple concurrent projects, and managing construction in active public environments.
• Proven experience delivering municipal roadway/street projects and public facilities from construction to closeout.

Responsibilities

• You’ll serve as responsible-in-charge for assigned municipal public works and community infrastructure projects, owning project performance across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety.
• You’ll manage and lead project teams including CM IIIs, inspection staff, and support personnel; provide direction, oversight, and quality review of all project deliverables.
• You’ll own the agency client relationship; serve as the primary point of contact for city staff, project managers, and department directors on assigned projects and lead project coordination meetings.
• You’ll oversee all construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, pay applications, change orders, and schedule reviews; review and approve deliverables from the project team.
• You’ll monitor contractor performance, schedule progress, staffing, equipment utilization, quality, and responsiveness; implement corrective actions and manage payments.
• You’ll oversee preparation and delivery of daily inspection reports and project documentation in compliance with client requirements; review plans and changes for constructability.
• You’ll enforce contractor compliance with contract documents, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and agency standards; communicate critical issues to leadership and clients.
• You’ll coordinate construction phasing, traffic control, and utility coordination within active public environments; allocate resources across the portfolio.
• You’ll ensure all field changes are recorded on record drawings.
• You’ll support business development including proposals and client presentations in the Orange County market.
