Job summary

Vistra Corporate Services Company seeks a Construction Manager to oversee field issues from ground breaking to commercial operation for diverse projects including thermal, solar, and energy storage. You will supervise the EPC contractor to ensure safety, on-time, and on-budget completion per Vistra fleet standards.

Responsibilities include managing site budgets, timelines, instrumenting reports, and coordinating with engineers and operations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of power generation, construction or equivalent energy industry experience
• 10+ years in Construction Management on large power plant projects
• Knowledge of ANSI, ACI, NEC standards
• Ability to manage large contract scope
• Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of construction project at the site including budgets and schedules
• Prepare cost estimates and work timetables for scope not in EPC contract
• Interpret EPC contract and work with main contractor through operation
• Report progress and budget matters to management
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and operations staff on site
• Review and justify monthly EPC contractor invoices
• Respond to delays and emergencies and coordinate with Owner's Engineers for RFIs
• Ensure compliance with building and safety codes and regulations
• Assist with plant turnover by operations staff
