Job summary

Bristol Infrastructure Designs Services, LLC is seeking a Construction Manager to support NAVFAC MIDLANT at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. The CM will provide technical services across all phases of construction on a variety of projects.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings for constructability, coordinating pre-bid visits, managing RFIs, and ensuring safety, quality control, and timely project closeout in accordance with contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree from ABET-accredited university (or Architecture from NAAB); or CM/Engineering Technology degree from ABET university.
• PE/RA registration is highly desirable.
• Minimum seven years as a Construction Manager, Project Manager, Field Engineer or QCM on facilities/contracts over $5M.

Responsibilities

• Review pre-final drawings for constructability and field compatibility.
• Attend contractor pre-bid site visits and document Q&A.
• Coordinate post-award meetings, QC, and design reviews.
• Review contractor submittals and RFIs; ensure timely responses.
• Monitor budget and schedule; take corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensure safety and quality control per contract; approve field changes as needed.
