Job summary

Bristol Infrastructure Designs Services, LLC is hiring a Construction Manager to support NAVFAC MIDLANT at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. The CM provides technical services for all construction phases across multiple projects.

The role requires coordinating meetings, reviewing submittals, and ensuring QC programs meet contract requirements while maintaining project budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university or an architecture degree from NAAB-accredited university; or a construction management/engineering technology degree from ABET university.
• Registration as a professional engineer (PE) or registered architect (RA) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review pre-final drawings and specs for constructability and field conditions.
• Attend contractor pre-bid site visits and document questions.
• Coordinate post-award meetings and QC/3-phase meetings to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, data, and O&M data per contract requirements.
• Manage contractor RFIs and ensure timely responses per contract.
