Job summary

Egis in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Construction Manager to lead complex transportation and infrastructure projects from office to site. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and client communications to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with strong knowledge of civil/traffic/aviation concepts.
• PE license or CCM certification.
• 10+ years of combined construction, design, engineering and PM experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Bluebeam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects, assignments and pursuits.
• Be primary client liaison and manage project team to oversee and deliver scope on schedule and within budget.
• Lead development of project proposals and interview presentations.
• Interface with clients and create new business opportunities for the office.
• Lead a project team for the preparation of design documents, technical plans, and written reports.
• Provide roadway design guidance with responsibility for project and client management, development, and mentoring staff.
• Analyze, develop and evaluate design options applying best engineering practices.
• Check construction plans, design calculations, or cost estimates for completeness and conformity to standards.
• Be responsible for quality assurance and quality control through the development and review of plans, specifications, and estimates.
