Job summary

Egis is seeking a Construction Manager for our Kansas City office. You will lead project teams, interface with clients, and manage scope, schedule and budgets to deliver transportation and infrastructure projects.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and professional licensure, with 10+ years in construction and project management, including leadership and design coordination. You will mentor staff, apply industry standards, and drive quality through plans and reports while maintaining

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; strong knowledge of civil/traffic/aviation engineering concepts.
PE with a Civil Engineer license or CCM.
10+ years in construction, design, engineering, and project management, including staff oversight.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bluebeam; familiar with DOT/APWA standards.
Knowledge of construction management/design standards and local guidelines.

Responsibilities

Manage projects, assignments and pursuits.
Serve as primary client liaison; manage project team to deliver scope on time and budget.
Lead development of proposals and presentations.
Interface with clients to create new business opportunities.
Lead a project team for design documents, technical plans, and reports.
Provide roadway design guidance and oversee project development and staff mentoring.
Analyze design options using best engineering practices.
Review plans, calculations and estimates for completeness and accuracy.
Ensure quality assurance and quality control through documentation.
