Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager II in Los Angeles, CA to lead subcontractor coordination, schedules, QA/QC and contract administration within the Federal Business Group.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10+ years of construction management experience, with proficiency in MS Office and construction software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera and Bluebeam. Preferred qualifications include a PE and CCM, with a strong emphasis on client interaction, team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction planning and management, including contracts; document, time, cost, quality; change management; and safety.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.
• Must have strong people skills and ability to interact with Owner, Engineer, Contractor and other stakeholders.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
• Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for subcontractor coordination, scheduling and quality control.
• Prepare the Project Management Plan, Construction Management Plan, Quality Control Plans as required.
• Develop procedures for executing construction contract administration and implement with the project team.
• Perform construction management activities including procurement, schedules, subcontracts, reviews, estimates, and progress reporting.
• Administer and manage construction activities.
• Perform value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate document management and review of submittals.
• Support client in the preparation, issuing and negotiating Change Orders.
• Review and analyze baseline and updated construction schedules.
• Coordinate and manage project quality assurance and control, and inspection services.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with the Health and Safety Program.
• Prepare and update project schedules, pay requests, and progress reports.
• Facilitate resolution of technical issues between QA and Designers/Contractors.
• Perform other duties as needed.
