Job summary

Ascent Developer Solutions LLC is seeking a Relationship Manager for construction lending to manage key borrower relationships and assess complex loan opportunities across residential and mixed-use developments.

You will structure loans, review borrower finances, and collaborate with officers to drive approvals and closings. The role requires strong communication, industry knowledge, and the ability to navigate fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate lending including SFR, multi-family and homebuilder/bridge, renovation and construction loans.
• Experience analyzing and structuring commercial loan transactions with borrower financials, budgets, proformas, capital stacks and appraisals to support lending decisions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with sophisticated borrowers and cross-functional internal stakeholders while delivering exceptional client service.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills for effective borrower and leadership communication.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; California Real Estate License preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, CRM platforms, and other business applications.
• Highly organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary relationship owner for an assigned portfolio of borrowers, building trusted long-term partnerships.
• Analyze and structure loan opportunities across Multi-Family, Single Family, Homebuilder, Build-to-Rent and related lending, including DSCR modeling and profitability analysis.
• Evaluate borrower qualifications, financial statements, capital stacks, track records, appraisals, and ability to execute proposed projects.
• Review appraisal reports to verify collateral value and identify valuation concerns.
• Collaborate with Loan Officers to present opportunities to internal and external approval authorities.
• Lead first-time borrower approvals and coordinate with internal teams through closing.
• Monitor loan portfolio covenant compliance and work with departments to maintain exposure controls.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Sales or Credit leadership.
