SECU is seeking a Senior Construction Lending Specialist to act as the expert for residential construction lending. You will evaluate complex loan requests, assess builder eligibility, and guide risk-aware decisions while collaborating across underwriting, closing, servicing, and branches to ensure compliant, efficient programs and an outstanding member experience.

The role requires 5+ years in mortgage lending (2+ years in residential construction lending) and strong knowledge of lending

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years of mortgage lending experience including at least 2 years of direct residential construction lending.
• Knowledge of residential construction lending practices, risk assessment, mortgage regulations, and loan administration.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with branches, members, builders, attorneys, and SECU departments.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate complex residential construction projects by analyzing contracts, plans, budgets, and feasibility.
• Perform builder due diligence to determine eligibility and recommend exceptions as needed.
• Assist members and stakeholders by answering questions and providing policy guidance.
• Oversee construction loan administration activities: draw approvals, funding, inspections, servicing setup, issue resolution.
• Lead process improvements, test new systems, mentor junior staff, and drive department initiatives.
