Job summary

CannonDesign seeks a Sr. Construction Project Leader to drive preconstruction and construction phases on a major healthcare megaproject on Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, MN.

The role requires onsite presence and leadership across design and build teams to protect design intent, cost and schedule, and client value. You'll coordinate with design and construction managers, manage risk and change, and lead the field team through commissioning, turnover, and warranty transition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in the design and construction of large-scale, complex building projects.
• Progressive experience in a senior construction management role carrying direct accountability for cost, schedule, quality, and contractor performance.
• Healthcare, Science & Technology, Education, Aviation and other complex facility experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the construction-phase services on the assigned mega project, supervising CA teams and field presence.
• Direct the firm’s participation in cost, scheduling, and pre-installation meetings, owning cross-discipline issues.
• Direct the resolution of field conditions, RFIs, substitutions, and change proposals with proactive rationale.
• Mentor CA leaders, project architects, and engineers on the project team.
