Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a Sr. Construction Administrator to lead construction administration for a large Mayo Clinic facility project in Rochester, MN. The role requires onsite presence, coordination between builder, client, and design teams, and strong risk management to ensure cost control and constructability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field.
• 12+ years of relevant construction administration experience.
• Healthcare and Education project experience preferred.
• Registration or licensure preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and Bluebeam; Procore experience.

Responsibilities

• Be a prime liaison between builder, client/owner, and design teams.
• Lead and contribute to developing and maintaining the project Risk Assessment process during Construction Administration.
• Identify potential risks during Construction Administration and communicate, mitigate and resolve issues.
• Assign team members to Construction Administration scopes with Project Directors/Managers.
• Manage on-site and remote CA efforts; coordinate with coordinators, document control and quality leads.
• Guide teams to implement CA policies.
• Attend site meetings and review meeting minutes, cost management, and scheduling.
• Review progress of work on site and prepare site reports as required.
• Lead review and interpretation of construction documents; coordinate changes with consultants and project team.
• Lead issue resolution on site and document changes with reason codes and cost tracking.
