Job summary

CannonDesign seeks a Sr. Construction Project Leader for a landmark 2.0+ million square foot healthcare facility on Mayo Clinic’s campus.

The role requires strong on-site leadership in Rochester, MN, guiding preconstruction and construction-phase activities to integrate design and construction seamlessly. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in design and construction of large-scale, complex building projects.
• Experience in healthcare, Science & Technology, Education, Aviation or similarly complex facilities.
• Demonstrated leadership of mega-project scale with interdisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction and construction-phase leadership on a mega project, ensuring constructability, cost and schedule integration.
• Translate design findings into actionable direction for the design team and manage resourcing.
• Oversee field leadership, QA/QC, and ensure coordination with client’s construction manager and builder.
• Manage risk, change proposals, and contract-related discussions.
• Mentor CA leaders, project architects, and engineers on the project team.
