Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to lead field inspection and QA/QC for water/wastewater projects. You will evaluate contractor work in the field, prepare daily reports with measurements, photos, and notes, and ensure conformance to plans, specs, and codes.

You’ll review submittals, RFIs, and test reports, participate in weekly meetings, and help develop project QA/QC standards. Strong judgment and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience.
• Technical school diploma/certificate or equivalent.
• May have degree in construction management or engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical).
• Acquires specific experience through on‑the‑job construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide single-point field inspection of the construction contractor’s work.
• Document daily progress with comprehensive reports and photos.
• Communicate with contractors regarding conformance to plans and codes.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and turnover documentation.
• Attend weekly progress meetings and manage QA/QC documents.
