Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in one or more building trades or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Some positions may require a valid Oklahoma Commercial driver’s license with endorsements.
• Some positions may involve moderately heavy lifting or other manual tasks.
• Some positions may require training or experience in a specific field of construction or maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Performs carpentry work in construction or renovation of buildings or additions; erects and maintains scaffolds, sheds, forms, frames, fences and other structures; adjusts doors, floors, windows and fixtures; glazes glass in windows/doors; maintains roofs.
• Installs, replaces, alters, maintains and repairs plumbing fixtures such as sinks, traps, faucets; minor repairs to laundry, sterilization, kitchen equipment.
• Maintains and repairs light fixtures, receptacles and switches; replaces light bulbs; maintains generators and motors; oils and cleans motors; electrical repairs not requiring a license.
• Installs and maintains locks and security devices; repairs or replaces tumblers and springs; cuts keys; uses hand tools for security hardware.
• Constructs, maintains and repairs concrete foundations; builds retaining walls, walks, fireplaces and related structures; lays brick or block.
• Operates, maintains and repairs equipment used in construction and maintenance such as trucks, tractors, bulldozers, power shovels, cranes, forklifts, mowers.
