Job summary

State of Oklahoma's Office of Juvenile Affairs seeks an experienced Construction/Maintenance Technician to maintain facilities, grounds, and equipment. Two+ years in building trades or an equivalent combination of education and experience are encouraged to apply.

The role covers carpentry, plumbing, electrical work and general upkeep of buildings and grounds, with responsibilities including repairs to doors, roofs, fixtures, and safety devices.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in building trades or equivalent education.
• Ability to perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical and general maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs carpentry work in construction or renovation of buildings.
• Installs and maintains plumbing fixtures and electrical systems not requiring a license.
• Maintains and repairs lighting, generators, motors and HVAC components.
• Stores and maintains locks, security devices and keys; makes minor repairs.
• Constructs and repairs foundations, walls, and brickwork.
• Operates and maintains construction equipment and grounds machinery.
