Job summary

State of Oklahoma seeks a Construction/Maintenance Technician III for Oklahoma State Penitentiary. The role involves building and grounds upkeep, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC tasks, plus security device installation and general repairs.

Five years of experience in one or more building trades is required. Some travel may be needed; a valid Oklahoma CDL with endorsements may be required. This is an on-site position with no remote work option.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in building trades or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Some positions may require travel as part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Performs carpentry work in construction or renovation of buildings; erects scaffolds, forms, frames, fences and other structures; alters doors, floors, and fixtures; maintains roofs.
• Maintains and repairs plumbing fixtures; minor repairs to equipment and lines.
• Maintains and repairs electrical and HVAC equipment and systems not requiring a license.
• Installs and maintains locks and security devices; copies/creates keys; uses hand tools to modify security features.
• Constructs and repairs foundations, stairs, walls, and other structures; handles masonry work as needed.
• Operates and maintains construction equipment such as trucks, loaders, and mowers.
