Job summary

Oklahoma Military Department is seeking a Construction/Maintenance Admr III to plan, coordinate, and direct activities related to the upkeep of state-owned facilities. The role manages a team of technicians and licensed trades specialists across construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.

As a senior supervisor, you will develop budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, review construction documents, and coordinate statewide maintenance operations.

Qualifications

  • Six years of experience in skilled building trades or maintenance work, with three years supervising staff.
  • Knowledge of federal/state laws and regulations relating to public administration and construction/maintenance.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and evaluate division activities, set priorities and prepare budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts inspections of buildings, premises and equipment.
  • Determines requirements for maintenance, construction or renovation projects.
  • Makes estimates of costs for labor and materials.
  • Inspects work in progress and upon completion for code compliance.
  • Manages supervisory staff and oversees budget development and implementation.
  • Plans, supervises and directs movement of heavy construction equipment.
  • Prepares Statements of Work for Facility Maintenance projects and contracts.
  • Travel within and outside the State as required.
