Job summary

State of Oklahoma’s DOC Construction & Maintenance seeks a Construction/Maintenance Administrator I to oversee on-site construction, renovation, maintenance and repair of state facilities. You will manage staff, supervise trades, and coordinate contracted crews to ensure projects meet timelines and code requirements.

The role entails budgeting, bid evaluation, and ensuring safety and compliance across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in skilled building trades or maintenance.
• Two years supervising contractors in one of the listed fields.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possession of a valid Oklahoma driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects buildings, premises, and equipment; estimates costs for labor and materials.
• Manages supervisory or contracted staff; develops budgets and policies.
• Evaluates bids and prepares specifications for equipment and vehicles.
• Plans and directs movement of heavy construction equipment across the state.
• Schedules crews and tracks time and attendance; may perform work as needed.
• Prepares reports on equipment operations and materials used.
