Job summary

CDM Smith in Detroit, MI seeks an experienced estimator/project controls professional to support a range of construction projects. You will prepare OPCCs, perform takeoffs, price labor/materials, and assist with design-build estimates, scheduling, and cost tracking.

You will collaborate with project teams on procurement, subcontracts, RFIs, and change management while upholding QA/QC and safety standards. Domestic/international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Travel frequency contingent on duties and workload.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction (OPCC) and design-build estimates.
• Coordinate with project managers and procurement for pricing.
• Develop project schedules, baselines and cost analyses.
• Review and manage submittals, RFIs and change management.
• Support QA/QC plans and safety documentation.
• Assist in budgeting and tracking against ECAC and budgets.
