Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our team in Greenville, SC. The role focuses on leading cost estimation across design-build projects, analyzing labor and equipment costs, and preparing competitive bids to win work.

This permanent position requires strong experience in construction cost analysis, RFQ development, and client presentations, with collaboration with project managers to meet schedules and budgets. Proficiency in BlueBeam strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimation, preferably in a senior role.
• Proficiency in BlueBeam or equivalent software.
• Experience with base building construction projects.
• Ability to interpret two-dimensional drawings.
• Experience in preparing RFQs, tracking bids, and coordinating with project managers.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven cost estimation track record.
• Knowledge of materials, labor, and equipment costs in construction.
• Excellent written proposals and client presentations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and interpreting two-dimensional drawings to understand project requirements.
• Utilizing BlueBeam and other industry-standard tools to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Analyzing labor costs, the cost of equipment, and other construction-related expenses to develop accurate and comprehensive construction cost estimates.
• Preparing and submitting RFQs, tracking bids, and working closely with project managers to ensure project goals are met.
• Developing written proposals and presenting them to clients and stakeholders.
• Negotiating contracts and cost estimates to ensure the best outcome for the company.
• Applying your knowledge of building construction to create realistic project timelines and budgets.
• Collaborating with the team to ensure design-build projects are completed on time and within budget.
