Job summary

You will analyze designs and specifications, identify cost risks, prepare bids, and manage contracts while partnering with project teams to deliver on time and within budget.

Strong Excel skills, blueprint literacy, and experience with estimation software are essential, as is a proven track record in commercial

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction estimating with commercial focus.
• Strong background in commercial estimating, bidding and takeoffs.
• Proficient at reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent Excel skills and knowledge of estimation software.
• Experience in project management, budgeting, and contract negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver accurate cost estimates for commercial, multi-unit, retail, hospital, and industrial projects.
• Analyze designs and specifications to identify cost risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids ensuring coverage of all project aspects.
• Manage contracts, negotiate terms, ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Conduct pre-construction evaluations and assess construction methods and materials.
• Utilize industry software for estimation, cost management and takeoff.
• Communicate with clients, contractors and stakeholders to align goals.
