Job summary

CDM Smith in Rockford, IL, seeks a construction estimator to perform basic to moderately complex estimating tasks across diverse projects. You will prepare Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction (OPCC), research costs, and coordinate with project managers and procurement to ensure accurate bid submissions.

You’ll develop detailed project schedules, manage QA/QC records, and support field teams with RFIs, submittals, and change management.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Estimate costs and prepare OPCCs for projects.
• Coordinate with project managers and procurement for pricing and bids.
• Develop project schedules and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
• Review QA/QC documentation and submittals.
• Support field teams with RFIs, change management and coordination with subs.
