Jobot in Helena, MT is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our on-site team. You will estimate costs for healthcare and commercial projects, analyze blueprints, specs, and proposals, and prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for bids.

The role requires collaborating with subcontractors and project managers to ensure accurate, competitive pricing while maintaining project budgets. A Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering and 3+ years of estimating experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating.
• Proficient in cost control, procurement, team leadership, project estimation, cost analysis, and MTO.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure comprehensive, accurate, and competitive pricing.
• Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
• Evaluate offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements.
• Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating price.
• Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Maintain cost keys and price masters by updating information.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Prepare and present cost reports, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
• Work closely with the project management team to ensure estimates are accurate and the project stays within budget.
