Job Summary:

To provide cost estimates for the soft demolition of commercial and municipal buildings by analyzing proposals and requirements and/or physically visiting sites to confirm existing conditions. To grow the company by achieving sales and profitability objectives for new projects and clients through comprehensive cost estimating and project acquisition.

Goals:

• Provide quality service to clients
• Provide accurate, competitive bids with a quick turnaround

Ensure all bids meet IRS Demo’s quality standards.

Generate new business through existing and new clients and services.

Attain sales goals set by the Sales Manager and Senior VP.

Job Duties:

• Meet with clients and project teams to understand the scope of work to be priced.
• Develop detailed and accurate take-offs from contractual plans.
• Partner with Project Manager to relay information ensuring profitability and excellent customer service.
• Develop proposals and prepare estimate documents.
• Create budget pricing (BFDs) for time-sensitive client requests.
• Ensure timely and accurate bid submissions.
• Consult with customers, subcontractors, or supervising personnel to address questions and issues.
• Review existing projects with the project manager.
• Promote IRS Demo to potential clients and industry contacts to increase brand awareness and business opportunities.
• Serve as the primary contact with contractors.
• Visit job sites to provide assistance as needed.
• Assist with other projects as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret contractual plans and specifications.
• Understanding of demolition scope, including interior demo, hard demo, saw cutting, and concrete coring.
• Ability to incorporate project specifications and constraints into pricing.
• Handle high work volume efficiently with attention to detail.
• Maintain professional interactions with clients, employees, and vendors.
• Manage multiple tasks with excellent follow-up skills.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of budgeting processes.
• Flexibility to work overtime with little notice.
• Detail-oriented with a professional attitude, reliability, organizational skills, and time management.

Job Conditions:

• Work at project sites, corporate, or home offices with mobile office equipment.
• Maintain availability via company phone, responding promptly to calls and emails.
• Overtime may be required with short notice.
• Coordinate with upper management and other departments to ensure project scope and schedule adherence.
