LEAD/Senior Estimator – Marine/Heavy Civil Construction – SE USA (REMOTE CAPABILITIES or RELOCATION to Charleston, SC)
Location: Southeast USA

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled LEAD/Senior Estimator to lead the estimating process for heavy civil and marine construction projects. This role involves evaluating project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with project teams to ensure competitive pricing and scope accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage estimates from project initiation to contract execution.
  • Review bid documents, perform quantity take-offs, and analyze project specifications.
  • Solicit pricing from vendors and subcontractors for cost-effective estimating.
  • Assess project risks and develop cost-saving strategies.
  • Ensure estimates align with current market conditions, labor rates, and material costs.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and contract negotiations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in estimating heavy civil and marine projects.
  • Proficiency in HCSS HeavyBid and relevant estimating software.
  • Strong understanding of marine construction techniques and materials.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing multiple estimates and meeting deadlines.
