Job summary

FrankCrum is seeking a Senior Construction Defect Claims Manager to lead the construction defect claims team and drive high-quality claim handling, reserve adequacy, and timely resolution. You will guide complex strategy, supervise assessors, and work with the Construction Defect Director of Casualty Claims to improve outcomes.

You will supervise experienced adjusters, mentor staff, monitor trends, and oversee litigation management and process improvements across a broad claims portfolio.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Ten years of general liability claims handling experience, including construction defect claims.
• Five years of supervisory or claims management experience.
• Experience managing complex claims, evaluating coverage and liability, overseeing litigation, and reserves.
• Ability to lead claims professionals, manage inventory, and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the assigned Construction Defect claims team with accountability for claim handling quality and reserve adequacy.
• Direct complex claim strategy within delegated authority and partner with the Construction Defect Director of Casualty Claims.
• Coach adjusters, identify skill gaps, and provide learning opportunities.
• Monitor trends, establish priorities, and implement process improvements.
• Oversee reserves, settlements, and escalation practices within authority.
• Serve as technical escalation point for high‑exposure construction defect claims.
• Manage staffing, performance discussions, and development of team members.
• Oversee litigation management, budgets, and defense strategy for the inventory.
