Job summary

Howden North America is seeking a Senior Casualty Examiner for Construction Defect claims. You will manage moderate to high exposure matters, investigate coverage, and coordinate with defense counsel to advance settlements and trial readiness.

The role requires 7+ years in construction defect claims, a Bachelor's degree, and strong litigation and budgeting skills. You will travel up to 10% and work remotely within the region, supporting a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction defect claims experience required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong litigation coordination and budget management
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Knowledge of industry trends and regulatory developments
• Ability to manage multiple claims and priorities

Responsibilities

• Analyze coverage and draft coverage position letters
• Retain and coordinate with defense counsel and experts for litigation strategies and budgets
• Establish timely reserves based on exposure analysis
• Draft captioned reports for roundtable presentations to carrier partners
• Travel up to 10% for mediations, settlements conferences and trials
