Job summary

DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a Construction Defect Claims Examiner to join its Align Claims subsidiary. The role is remote with travel to mediations and trials as needed.

Requires at least 10 years of claims handling experience and 5+ years in construction defect cases, with active state licensing or ability to obtain licensure. Compensation ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 10+ years of claims experience; 5+ years in construction defect.
• Must be licensed or able to become licensed in all required states.

Responsibilities

• Make initial contacts with interested parties.
• Evaluate and resolve construction defect and some third-party property damage claims.
• Analyze coverage and draft coverage position letters as needed.
• Coordinate with co-carriers on risk, case values, and strategies.
• Conduct liability investigations and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Manage defense counsel and set litigation budgets for cases going to court.
• Coordinate retention of experts within approved budgets.
• Establish indemnity and expense reserves based on exposure analyses.
