DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Casualty Claims Examiner for our Construction Defect team.

The role involves investigating claims, analyzing policy coverages, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve claims. Responsibilities include managing low to moderate exposure construction defect claims for residential and commercial projects, drafting coverage letters, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; professional designations are a plus.
• Experience with construction defect claims is preferred.
• Must be licensed or able to become licensed in required states.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of industry trends and regulatory developments affecting claims.
• Ability to manage multiple claims and competing priorities.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Initiate timely contact with all relevant parties upon claim assignment.
• Handle low to moderate exposure construction defect claims involving residential and commercial projects.
• Analyze insurance policies to determine applicable coverages.
• Draft and issue coverage position letters.
• Negotiate settlements.
• Ensure all claim activities comply with regulations and internal policies.
• Coordinate with defense counsel and experts for litigation planning and budgets.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation of all claim activities and decisions.
• Collaborate with underwriting and internal teams to share insights and coordinate strategies.
• Provide feedback to partners to support continuous improvement in claims handling.
