Job summary

DUAL North America, Inc. seeks a Senior Casualty Examiner for the Construction Defect Claims team. This role manages moderate to high exposure claims, investigates, analyzes policy coverages, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely claim resolution.

Travel up to 10% for mediations, settlements conferences and trials. The candidate should have 7+ years of construction defect claims experience and be licensed or able to license in required states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licensure in required states or ability to obtain.
• 7+ years of construction defect claims experience.
• Advanced knowledge of end-to-end claims handling, including litigation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Make initial contacts with interested parties.
• Handle moderate to high exposure construction defect claims.
• Analyze coverage and draft coverage position letters.
• Conduct liability investigations.
• Comply with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with defense counsel and experts within budget.
• Establish reserves based on exposure analysis.
• Draft comprehensive captioned reports for reserve and settlement authority.
• Travel up to 10% for mediations and trials.
• Keep current on case law and industry trends.
• Assist underwriting and business partners.
