Job summary

Turner Construction Company, headquartered, seeks an experienced Counsel with a strong background in construction law to provide day-to-day guidance on contracts and related legal matters for assigned business units and regions in the New York area.

You will review owner contracts, analyze complex transactions, advise on risk, support bidding and negotiations, prepare due diligence packets, and partner with senior counsel to manage litigation and compliance programs while traveling as required.

Qualifications

• JD degree with a valid law license.
• Minimum of 5 years' of experience with an emphasis on construction law.
• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and risk assessments across contracts/construction law.
• Advise business partners on legal, contractual and risk matters.
• Review owner contracts and support bidding/negotiation processes.
• Conduct and compile research, maintain due diligence documents.
• Partner with senior counsel on contested matters and litigation.
