Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Senior Associate, Construction Cost Accountant to join our Real Estate Services group in New York. You will prepare and maintain financial reports for capital projects, manage TIAs, and support project closeout with accurate data across systems.

You will collaborate with architecture, construction managers, Lease Administration, and finance teams to analyze costs and forecast variances, ensuring compliance with standards and firm policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction cost accounting or related finance
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Proficiency with Sage Timberline, SAP, Excel, Power BI is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial reporting for capital projects
• Manage tenant improvement allowance programs (TIAs) including draw packages and portfolio reporting
• Maintain project financial data in Sage Timberline, SAP, and other platforms
• Process purchase orders, invoices, change orders, and vendor records
• Collaborate with project managers, Lease Administration, Finance & Accounting, Tax, landlords, vendors and stakeholders
• Prepare dashboards and ad hoc analysis for construction projects and portfolios
