Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking a Senior Associate, Project Accounting in New York to handle complex construction cost accounting, budget monitoring, and project financials. You will mentor associates and support project teams with accurate reporting and variances.

The role requires JD Edwards experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple large projects in a fast-paced environment. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business (strong Accounting experience preferred).
• 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with JD Edwards or other ERP solutions is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds; thrive in a fast-paced environment; strong verbal and written communication; ability to work independently; highly organized; identify and propose process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Trouble-shooter with detailed knowledge of JDE processes.
• Manage large complex projects and provide project accounting support.
• Enter and review Subcontractor invoices; cost code supplier invoices for approval.
• Maintain job cost records; monitor budgets and prepare month-end analysis.
• Train and mentor new hires; lead accounting meetings and provide timely financial information.
