Job summary

McCarl's is seeking a Commercial Contracts Manager to review, negotiate, administer, and close out commercial agreements across industrial construction, maintenance, fabrication, and technical services.

You will coordinate between Operations, Business Development, Procurement, Finance, Safety, executive leadership, clients, vendors, and outside counsel to ensure terms are understood and risks are managed. This role emphasizes strong communication and organized contract records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree as listed (or equivalent construction/industrial contract administration experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in contracts, contract administration, procurement, or related commercial role.
• Experience reviewing or administering MSAs, NDAs, purchase orders, subcontracts, vendor agreements, or service agreements.
• Strong contract reading, writing, issue-spotting, and documentation skills.
• Ability to identify commercial and operational impacts within contract terms.
• Strong communication skills to explain contract requirements to non-legal audiences.
• Ability to collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Safety, Business Development, and leadership.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Co-Pilot, and Teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol, criminal background, and motor vehicle checks.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, negotiate, and administer commercial agreements including MSAs, NDAs, subcontracts, purchase orders, service agreements, and vendor terms.
• Evaluate agreements for scope, schedule, cost, payment, safety, insurance, compliance, and operational impacts.
• Identify unfavorable or non-standard contract terms and summarize them.
• Support contract negotiations to achieve balanced, commercially reasonable outcomes.
• Ensure flow-down provisions in subcontractor agreements from prime contracts.
• Coordinate with project teams to communicate contract requirements, change orders, payment milestones, and closeout obligations.
• Provide written contract summaries for project teams.
• Support contract administration during execution, including change management, dispute documentation, and compliance.
• Maintain organized contract records in SharePoint or other systems.
• Track contract status, key dates, renewals, expirations, insurance requirements, deliverables, and approval workflows.
• Develop and maintain contract summaries, risk reviews, and weekly activity reports.
• Assist with process improvement, templates, workflows, and contract lifecycle management.
