Job summary

McCarl's Inc. seeks a Safety Director to lead safety execution across dispersed projects and field operations.

You will provide leadership and coaching to safety professionals, project teams, and leadership, ensuring compliance and a strong safety culture. Travel is required to sites; you will set expectations, drive risk controls, and integrate safety into pre-construction planning and closeout activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in safety/health/environment, construction management, or related field.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction safety certification required; OSHA 500/510 or equivalent instructor training preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of construction safety experience with multi-site oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and rollout of safety policies, programs, and initiatives across projects and regions.
• Establish safety vision and measurable objectives aligned with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to safety professionals, project managers, and field personnel.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable safety and environmental requirements across sites.
• Oversee investigations of serious incidents and ensure root-cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Drive safety performance data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement to executive leadership.
