Job summary

The successful candidate will perform in a Construction Administration role representing CannonDesign to the client during the CA phase, administering contracts with a focus on quality and cost control from start-up to closeout on a Mayo Clinic healthcare facility project in Rochester, MN.

This on-site position requires a Bachelor's in Architecture/Engineering/Construction or related field, 10+ years of healthcare/institutional project experience, and registration/licensure preferred; LEED

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field required.
• 10+ years of related experience required. Healthcare and/or Institutional project experience strongly preferred.
• Registration or Licensure preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Technical knowledge, coordination skills and the ability to build a rapport with the project team is essential.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam required.
• Knowledge of Procore and ACC required.
• Professional business attire is required for client meetings.
• Travel required.

Responsibilities

• Be a daily, on-site liaison between construction managers/general contractors, client/owner, owner's consultants and AE teams.
• Attend site meetings including scheduling, cost management, pre-installation, RFI, and weekly Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings as required.
• Review and interpret construction documents and develop/issue sketches related to field conditions and issues.
• Process, review and answer RFI and submittals within contractual timeframes.
• Resolve problems on the jobsite and coordinate bulletins to contract documents.
• Monitor, review, and process closeout submittals and perform QA/QC site visits.
• Coordinate with design team to interpret/process documents.
• Prepare daily and other reports as required by the contract.
• Work under supervision of a Licensed Architect.
