Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a Sr. Construction Administration professional to lead and develop the project team on a major Mayo Clinic healthcare facility in Rochester, MN.

The role emphasizes constructability review, risk mitigation, and cost control from start to finish of construction, with on-site presence required. The successful candidate will coordinate with designers, engineers and contractors, oversee risk assessment, document control, and QA/QC processes while ensuring compliance with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field.
• 12 years of relevant construction administration experience.
• Healthcare and Education project experience preferred.
• Registration or licensure preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam is required.
• Familiarity with Procore is required.
• Travel required.

Responsibilities

• Be the prime liaison between builder, client/owner, and design teams.
• Lead and contribute to the project Risk Assessment process during Construction Administration, identifying risks and communicating mitigation strategies.
• Assign team members to CA scopes in collaboration with Project Directors/Managers.
• Manage CA team on site and in offices, coordinating with CA Coordinators, Document Control and Quality Leaders.
• Support the firm’s CA policies and review quality with Senior Project Architects and Discipline Leaders.
• Attend site meetings and review meeting minutes issued by the contractor.
• Review progress of work on site and prepare site visits and related reports.
• Lead and participate in interpretation of construction documents and coordination with consultants.
• Lead resolution of site problems and coordinate contract changes with cost tracking.
