Builder Bookkeep is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our fully remote team serving builders nationwide. This role focuses on construction accounting, client-facing duties, and leadership of junior staff.

You will prepare financial statements, job costing, and WIP reporting while guiding clients and maintaining high-quality service. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of accounting, construction accounting experience, and strong QuickBooks Online skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; CPA a strong plus.
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience, 2+ years in construction accounting preferred.
• Experience in both public accounting and construction companies highly valued.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities with client focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a book of 15 to 30 construction clients with timely financial processes.
• Prepare monthly and year-end financials, job costing and WIP reports.
• Mentor bookkeeping/admin staff to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Lead client meetings and translate accounting data into insights.
• Troubleshoot client accounting issues within tight timelines.
