Job summary

REA.co is seeking a Bookkeeper to support bookkeeping and accounting tasks for construction clients in a fully remote role. The position requires collaboration with senior staff, attention to real estate accounting principles, and timely month-end closing deliverables.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and at least 1 year of experience with QuickBooks Online, plus construction accounting exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 1 year of experience with QBO (desired).
• At least 1 year of experience in construction accounting/finance, ideally at an accounting firm working with construction clients or directly at a construction company (mandatory).
• At least 1 year of experience managing maintenance work orders in the construction industry (mandatory).
• Solid understanding of real estate accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English).
• Willingness to learn and grow in the real estate accounting field.
• Familiarity with communication and collaboration tools (Slack, Clickup, Workspace).

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Support client communication and inquiries under the guidance of senior bookkeepers.
• Contribute to the month-end closing process and report generation.
• Assist with new property set-ups, move-outs, owner draws, and management fees.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of tasks and deadlines.
