Jobot is looking for a Senior Construction Accountant to join our Phoenix-based finance team on onsite duties. The role focuses on construction accounting, job costing, and multi-entity financial management, with exposure to leadership and potential growth into Controller roles.

You will manage the full accounting cycle, coordinate across entities, and support budgets, audits, and internal controls to strengthen financial processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting and job costing.
• Experience with multiple legal entities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Nice to have: construction accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage full accounting cycle: GL, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close.
• Maintain records across multiple entities and states.
• Perform construction job cost accounting with proper cost allocation.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and schedules.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Partner with project managers to ensure accurate job cost reporting.
• Support year-end audits and tax preparation.
• Improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Provide financial reporting to support leadership decisions.
