Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant for a construction-focused team in Colorado Springs. You will work with the CFO and accounting team on core functions in a GAAP framework, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in senior accounting, ideally in construction, with experience in WIP schedules and project-level revenue recognition. On-site role with growth toward Controller/CFO responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in a senior finance or accounting role, preferably in construction.
• Experience managing Work in Progress (WIP) schedules and construction accounting.
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Preparing and reviewing monthly financial reports in compliance with regulations and standards.
• Analyzing financial status, variances, and management reporting; budget prep and analysis.
• Managing tax planning and compliance across federal, state, local, payroll, and property taxes.
• Coordinating annual audits and maintaining fiscal files and records.
• Improving processes to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
